Research interest: My research has focused on applying functional proteomics and molecular approaches to understand the ubiquitin ligase cascade in mammalian cardiac cells. Proteomics approaches are used to identify novel proteins which are involved in Ubiquitin-Proteasome System (UPS). We then use molecular biology, genetics and biochemical approaches to examine the function of the target proteins. The goal of this research is to identify novel ubiquitin ligases and the cascade which may provide valuable information for the therapeutic drug design to treat the cardiac disorders.
