Research interest:

My job so far has been to take in as much knowledge of what is going on as possible. This includes researching published papers in the field and learning about/presenting basic scientific techniques to study proteins (western blot, immunoprecipitation). In addition I was also assigned a research project on signaling proteins in the heart and did a presentation on the protein as it relates to cardiac ischemia, infarction and apoptosis. My research currently involves cardiac signaling and ischemia in myocytes and I am hoping to eventually do some experiments relating to this. I am not sure of what I wish to do but I really want to get experience in science, especially the life sciences which I consider the coolest.
