Research
interest:
PKC
has been identified as one of the important factors that protect
the heart against ischemic injury. The ability to alter specifically
the expression or activity of PKC ,
as well as proteins that interact with PKC ,
in intact animals provides a powerful experimental approach
to study pathophysiology. These animal models can be generated
by transgenic technology. Recent works in this lab involve
the exploration of the consequences of single and multiple
gene mutations on complex physiological systems in vivo. Our
research interest is to define the cardiac protective proteome
by characterization of the cardiovascular phenotypes in genetically
manipulated mice. |
